The short version
Gearvise uses strictly necessary cookies to make the site function and optional analytics cookies to understand how readers use the site. We never use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to anyone. You can manage your preferences using the cookie banner or your browser settings.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your cookie consent preference — so you do not have to set it again on every visit.

Gearvise uses cookies sparingly and only where they serve a genuine purpose for you as a reader.

Cookies we use

How to manage cookies

You have three ways to control cookies on Gearvise:

Cookie banner — when you first visit Gearvise a cookie consent banner appears. Use it to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer.

Browser settings — all major browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies. Find the settings in your browser's privacy or security menu. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.

Google Analytics opt-out — to opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies we do not use

Gearvise does not use:

— Advertising or retargeting cookies that track you across other websites

— Social media tracking cookies

— Fingerprinting or any non-cookie tracking technology

— Cookies that build profiles of individual users for any purpose

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies or change how existing ones work, we will update this page and the date below. We will not add optional cookies without updating the consent banner to reflect the change.
